TGIF: Thank God It’s Friday – Forensic Entomology

TGIF (Thank God It’s Friday) is a weekly edutainment podcast where I, Catstead, research and discuss a topic from true crime, the occult, the paranormal, anything from the darker side of our weird and whacky wonderful world!

ON THIS WEEKS EPISODE:

This topic came to me as I was reflecting on what I wanted to do when I got out of high school. I desperately wanted to do forensic science and thought it was so incredibly interesting. I was absolutely SHOCKING at science so I have no idea why I thought that would be a possibility. Mind you this is 1 of about 300 different career prospects that I had chosen between the ages of 13 and 20. So for this week’s topic I fused it with another interest of mine, my curiosity for forensic science and my love for creepy crawlies and things that are just gross to begin with.

Now just because I never became a forensic scientist, doesn’t mean I can’t gross you out with the history and the processes behind the field of study. So let’s dive into the business of bugs and bodies.
