The DASHGAMER.com playlist. Music that we jam to, while being productive with our daily tasks. This week Buddy’s back with a unique mixtape. We hope you enjoy.
Hot off the heels of the Death Stranding release date trailer, this weeks playlist celebrates E3 week by focusing on music used in game trailers, credits and commercials. Dead Sara’s cover of Heart Shaped Box was used for the Infamous Second Son credits, whilst the Gears of War franchise set the bar for video game commercials with its powerful use of Mad World and How it Ends for Gears 1 and 2. Till I Collapse was the perfect adrenaline fueled track to accompany the Modern Warfare 2 promotions (Eminem would also go on to provide “Survive” for Call of Duty Ghosts) and the In For the Kill remix was used for Bayonetta. Massive Attacks Teardrop from iconic electronic album Mezzanine may sound familiar for House fans but gamers will remember it from the original Assassins Creed trailer.
The playlist is rounded out by songs that feature in two of my favourite games and gaming soundtracks/scores, Transistor and The Last of Us. Here’s hoping the collaboration between amazing music and great gaming reveals and promotions continues at E3 this week! Enjoy.
