The DASHGAMER.com playlist. Music that we jam to, while being productive with our daily tasks. Dash, Buddy, Holmesy and other contributors will be sharing their favourite tracks each week with you to listen to with us. We hope you enjoy.
This week’s playlist is a collection of two themes. The first is a celebration of some of my favourite albums of 2019 from Q1, and the second is sadness. Bring Me the Horizon kick it off with an album that grows on me with every listen despite initially having lukewarm reception. Standout releases from last week include Logic‘s vastly different, yet novel soundtrack tie-in Supermarket, Billie Eilish’s amazing debut and Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 and Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low side project, Simple Creatures.
The second half is carried by Asian focused record label and international media collective, 88rising. Their artists Rich Brian and Joji are two artists I go to for lo-fi, trip hop R&B. Emotion through the lyrics and it’s delivery, listening to Joji is almost a cathartic release for my own sadness, depression or anxiety.
